Candy Heart Science
Students participated in various candy heart STEAM stations to celebrate Valentine's Day.
All grade levels attempted to build the tallest tower using candy hearts, and measured with unfix cubes to see who's was the highest.
Kindergarteners predicted and tested their guesses to see if the candy hearts would sink or float in water, vinegar and soda.
First grade students predicted and tested their guesses to see if the candy hearts would sink or float in soda, vinegar and finally vinegar with baking soda!
Second grade students predicted and tested their guesses to see if the candy hearts would sink or float in soda, water, and finally water with alka-seltzer!
