Animal Adaptations

In science, first grade students identified the different body parts of animals that help them survive. To illustrate this process we pretended to be elephants and use our trunks!

We first used our "trunks" to see how many "trees" we could knock down.

Then used our trunks to collect as many chips as possible. Working together as a group "elephants" used straws to pick up the chips and put them in the bowl in the middle of the table.
